Wheelchair Basketball Camp Bergen 2024

 
The Wheelchair Basketball Camp is the highlight of the year for anyone with their heart in wheelchair basketball.

Participation at the annual wheelchair basketball camp in Bergen, is a tradition for wheelchair basketball players in Norway. The camp consist of practices, a referee clinic, a social dinner and a tournament.

In 2023 we were joined by our scandinavian friends from Finland and Sweden, as a result of our new cooperation between the nordic countries.

In 2024, we want to again invite our friends from other countries, to come to WBC in Bergen October 4th-6th.

The WBC will be held Friday-Sunday October 4th-6th, in Bergen, Norway.

The program will consist of practices, a tournament with mixed teams, and a social dinner on Satyrday evening.

Some practices are with the whole group, and for some practices we divide players into groups based on their level, so that everyone will have the best possible results from the practices.

Visiting participants will receive a voucher for public transportation, when they arrive at the Flesland airport.

The gym that will be used has 3 full courts and is only a couple of hundred meters from the Bergen Light Rail know as Bybanen. The closest stop is called "Kronstad".

Here is what we need to know: Name, mobile number, email, need for wheelchair accessible room, and foodallergies/preferences. By signing up, you approve that this information can be handled in order to carry out the event.

20:00   Welcome and short information about the weekend ahead

20:15   Practice session to see the level of the players in order to divide into groups

21:00   End of day, return to hotel for supper

 

Saturday
08:30   Arrival at gym

09:00   Practices in three groups: Beginner, Practiced and Advanced

12:30   Lunch and restitution. Divide into mixed teams for tournament

14:00   Tournament Group Stages

17:00   Showgame - the Norwegian National Representation Team vs guests

20:30   Social dinner

Sunday
09:30   Arrival at the gym

10:00   Practice in the three groups

12:30   Lunch and restitution

14:00   Tournament Playoffs

15:30   Sum up, prices and closure of the camp

Comfort Hotel Bergen Airport is booked for our event, so be sure to book accomodation there.
